Ebeling is the founder of Venice-based hybrid production company The Ebeling Group, and the founder and CEO of Not Impossible, LLC, an organization that develops creative solutions to address real-world problems. Not Impossible’s mission is to solve impossible problems. They transform ideas into life-changing inventions that redefine the boundaries of possibility. But to define their work as just inventions would be incorrect, as Ebeling and Not Impossible’s mantra, “technology for the sake of humanity,” is more a rallying cry and mindset than it is a construction of materials.

Ebeling brings together innovators and hackers in the fields of production, design and technology who share in this mantra and way of thinking—and together, they are able to create solutions to these seemingly insurmountable problems. With no technical background in ocular recognition technology, Mick simply asked himself “If not now, then when? The Eyewriter is an open source, low-cost, DIY device that enables individuals with paralysis to communicate and create art using only the movement of their eyes. Not Impossible’s latest life-changing endeavor, Project Daniel, saw Ebeling fly to Sudan to 3-D-print and fit prosthetic limbs for children of the war-torn region, where he then left the equipment behind with locals he’d trained who continued the work after he left, thus establishing the world’s first 3-D printing prosthetic lab and training facility.
